Adolescent Asa Strikes Again

Geez, why can’t Asa take anything seriously?! As you know Asa and I are now responsible Bee owners.  Well that is one of us is responsible, and I bet you can figure out who!  Since there is an estimated 5,000 to 7,000 Bees per hive, we realized we couldn’t name each individual Bee.  Therefore we decided instead to name just the hives and the two Queens.  I wanted to go with Royalty as a theme, and Asa agreed…or so I thought.  I named my Bee, “Queen Elizzzabeth.”  I assumed Asa would follow my lead, and name his the obvious “Queen Beetoria” or possibly “Anne Beeleyn.”

But in his typical misguided style, Asa named his “Queensryche” after the ’80s heavy metal band!  He even announced that his Queen Bee has her own theme song, “Queen of the Reich,” which is performed by her namesake.  I’m not sure what is more ridiculous, the name of his Bee or the music video for that song.  I know Asa is an adolescent and going through his rebellious stage, but what’s up with his obsession with ’80s music?  I thought “I Want a Rock” was bad enough, but now there’s this tomfoolery!  Asa really is a delinquent without a clue.  Oh well, I guess as long as Queensryche is well taken care of, she won’t mind that silly name.  I just wish Asa would stop singing that absurd song!

Oh and since we are naming the Queens, we thought it would be nice if we gave Mom a new name too.  We are now calling her “Queen Cleopatra,” because she is still in “deNile” about our new our pets! Har! Har! Har!

Maybe if I ignore him, he'll stop singing...

Maybe if I ignore him, Asa will stop singing…

Since Queen Bees are notoriously camera shy, you'll just have to take my word that Queen Elizzzabeth and Queen of the Reich are settling in nicely to their new homes.

You forgot about Jane Beemour, Anne of Beeves, Beetrix and the rarely remembered Beerengaria.
