Comfort Food for a Good Cause

There’s no better way to warm the heart on a cold winter’s evening than a tummy filled with comfort food while helping a good cause.  Here are two great opportunities to lend a helping paw, while enjoying great food on a cold winter’s night.

Cocheco Valley Humane Society: The Cocheco Valley Humane Society (CVHS) has been chosen to be a recipient of Robert’s Maine Grill Community Supper Program.  On Wednesday, January 10, 2018 Robert’s Maine Grill (326 Route 1, Kittery, ME) is offering a $16.00, 3 course menu, with proceeds to benefit the animals at Cocheco Valley Humane Society.  Robert’s Maine Grill Community Supper’s menu consists of comfort food with an updated twist.  The Community Supper opens to the public at 4:00 PM and continues through close at 8:30 PM.  For more information about Wednesday evening’s Community Supper and to learn more about the important work the Cocheco Valley Humane Society does helping over 1,500 animals in their care each year visit CVHS on Facebook.

Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue: Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue has been been chosen to be the recipient of Eat Bread to Raise Dough at Panera Bread in Westford, MA.  On Thursday, January 11, 2018, the Panera Bread at 2 Cornerstone Square in Westford, MA will be donating proceeds from all meals served between 4:00 and 8:00 PM.  There is a catch though.  In order for our friends at Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue to benefit from this fundraiser, you must print the attached flyer and present it at the time of purchase.  To learn more about Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue’s mission to provide comprehensive medical care, behavioral evaluations, and adoptive homes to homeless Golden Retrievers in the six New England states, and to get the link to print the flyer needed for this fundraiser, please visit YGRR.org.

Sorry Asa, NO pets allowed. But we’ll bring you home a doggie bag!
