Fun Dog Day

Don’t miss the dog event of the Summer in Maine!  The 4th Annual Fun Dog Day will be taking place this Sunday, June 26, 2016, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Oxford Fairgrounds (68 Pottle Road, Oxford, ME).  Hosted by Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills, this event is for the whole family both two-legged and four.  In addition to the Fun Dog Day Walk, there will be games for dogs, Wayne’s Water World to keep your dog cool and refreshed, working dog demonstrations, even an agility course!  Also don’t forget to enter your pet into the Dog Show with a variety of categories so that every pup participating can shine!  For the kids there will be activities, crafts and a pup tent.  Fun Dog Day will also feature over 30 vendors with pet related merchandise and services.  In addition, there will be raffles with many fun prizes.

Admission is free.  Individual registration for the 1/2 mile fundraiser walk is $10, and teams are $25.  The first 50 people to raise $25 will receive a limited edition event t-shirt, and those raising $50 or more will receive a special swag bag of gifts.  Registration for the walk begins at 10:00 AM.

All proceeds from the 4th Annual Fun Dog Day will benefit the important work of Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills.  Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills provides a safe and comfortable environment for dogs and cats from Oxford County, Maine that have become lost or have been abandoned.  They are a no-kill, nonprofit shelter, who help over 700+ animals yearly, by reuniting lost dogs with their families and helping cats and kittens find their forever home.  For more information on this rain or shine event, please visit Fun Dog Day on Facebook.  You can learn more about Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills and perhaps find your new best friend on their website.
