Golden Standard Time

Ssshhh, come closer.  Can you keep a secret?  We want to tell you something, but don’t want Mom or Dad to hear.  Yesterday they fed us breakfast TWICE!  I know, awesome, right?!  Normally I get really angry when Humans mess with my feeding times, but I have to admit I really enjoyed the end of daylight saving time yesterday.

It all started when Dad forgot the time changed Sunday morning.  So he got up at his usual time and fed us.  But while we were eating, he realized he could sleep an extra hour so went back to bed.  That’s when Mom got up and fed us a second breakfast!  I was so worried Asa was going to blow it for us with his happy dance.  Mom did notice he was bouncing around more than normal.  However, she assumed it was because she was feeding us an hour later than usual, and Asa was extra hungry.  She even complimented me on how patient I was for not waking her up at the old time to be fed!  Seriously, Mom thanked me just as she was about to feed us a second breakfast!

I feel bad not telling Mom and Dad about their mistake, but I’m a strong believer in what they don’t know won’t hurt them.  Besides, they really shouldn’t mess with our meal times.  Our stomachs know the true time, despite whatever the clocks say.  We run according to Golden Standard Time!

Good Morning Mom! Why yes, we would LOVE to have breakfast now!

Asa don’t ruin it!  Act natural!  “Good Morning Mom!  Yes, we’ve been patiently waiting for breakfast…”
