Mmmmmm, nothing beats that lemon fresh smell.  I wonder where it is coming from?  Oh wait, it is Asa!  Har! Har!  Asa is experiencing a right of passage in our household – the lemon water squirt bottle.  You see Asa, who Mom and Dad are now calling Monkey Dog, has taken to jumping and climbing.  At first he was obeying the “off” command.  But now he’s getting more rebellious, and additional discipline is needed.  Hence leaving Mom and Dad with no other option than to deploy the dreaded lemon water squirt bottle!  Just one squirt of that and you don’t want anything to do with the bad behavior.  Who wants to smell like lemons?!  And worse yet, if you try to lick off the offending smell you end up with a pucker face.  And trust me, even someone as adorable as Asa can’t pull off being cute with a pucker face.  Initially Mom was going to go soft on Asa and tried just using water.  But he would open his mouth wide and enjoyed the refreshing drink.  So it is straight up lemon juice diluted in water for him.  Poor little guy, I really shouldn’t be so mean to him.  He’s having a rough week.  Now that he’s reached the 6 month mark he got weened off his lunches.  I’d be climbing the walls too if one of my meals disappeared.  Hang in there buddy, it will get better.
