Summertime Blues

I stand corrected.  This past winter I complained that playing fetch in 4+ feet of snow was the worst experience of my life.  That is before I had to play fetch in overgrown grass.  You see Mom and Dad have been busy lately, and haven’t had a chance to mow the lawn.  Now don’t get me wrong, part of the reason they are busy is because they are taking me places.  But there comes a time in every dog’s day when he would just like to unwind with a nice game of fetch.  However, that gets a bit daunting when the ball is hiding.  Worse yet, that Snake who was living in our garage may be lurking in the vegetation.  Nevertheless, unlike the song which proclaimed “there ain’t no cure for the summertime blues,” there is a cure – just mow the lawn!  But then that leads to another set of problems.  Is it too much to ask my Dad to remember to take our toys off the grill when he is finished?!  My work is never done…
