Barks & Rec, also known as the Eliot Dog Park, is open!  Thanks to Chad Gregor’s Eagle Scout project, dogs now have a fun place to hang out and socialize in Eliot, Maine.  Located in the back corner of Frost Tufts Community Park (195 Old Road), Barks & Rec offers two separate play areas for dogs over and under 25 lbs.  The park is double gated to prevent dogs from escaping, and is located at a safe distance from the parking lot and road.  Poop bags are available, and please be sure to take used bags with you when you leave.  Water is also available for the dogs, and there is a bench located outside of the fenced area for those who want to watch but not participate.  Thank you to Chad Gregor, Troop #340, all the volunteers and financial supporters who helped “Unleash Happiness.”  See photos below for complete dog park rules…
