Wow, Asa is having a really bad week. On Monday he thought he was hallucinating because of the changing colors of the autumn leaves. Then on Wednesday I mistakenly thought he was radioactive. Stupid Google. And now today he became the target for an Alien abduction. If that isn’t a bad week, I don’t know what is!
This latest incident happened on our daily walk. Everything seemed normal enough, until we rounded the corner and noticed a bright light in the sky in front of us. Dad once again was oblivious of the danger, and just muttered something about forgetting his sunglasses. But I quickly grasped the severity of the situation. That bright light had all the telltale signs of a UFO landing in our neighborhood! Worst yet, Asa couldn’t help but notice that one of the Alien’s purple laser beams was pointed right at him!
Luckily for us, Dad was blinded and didn’t put up much of struggle when I immediately took charge and dragged us away in the opposite direction. Asa was so unnerved by the whole ordeal that he didn’t even try to pick up any sticks or pinecones, but instead high tailed it home right by my side. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll suggest we take a different route for our walk. We obviously are becoming way too predictable and the Aliens know our habits. Besides, I’m not sure how much more excitement Asa can handle this week! He is after all just a puppy.
