Weeks Nature Trails – Greenland, NH

Nestled behind the Weeks Brick House in Greenland, New Hampshire is a dog friendly hiking secret gem of the seacoast.  Approximately 30 acres, the Weeks Nature Trails are well marked and meander through hardwoods, pine groves, and marshland bounded by the Winnicut River and Tide Mill Road.  A unique feature of the Weeks Nature Trail is the audio tour available to download for free from the Weeks Brick House and Gardens website.  This informative audio tour highlights key features along the trail that show the land’s use in the colonial period by the Weeks family for framing and lumbering.

The Trail Head can be found on Tide Mill Road, just off of Route 33.  There is a small clearing available for parking, and Trail Maps are available.  Dogs are welcome, but please respect the cottontail rabbits and other species who inhabit this area.  Also it is important to note, there is an active railroad line bounding one side of the trail.  The grounds of the Weeks Brick House and Gardens are also open to the public, but please respect the privacy of the tenants.  In addition to the audio tour, a virtual tour of the house is available.
