3rd Annual Take Your Llama to the Beach Day

For Immediate Release: Recently Llily Llama, tour manger to a famous rock star, held her Third Annual Take Your Llama to the Beach Day. This grassroots event is held in protest of a local beach’s unfair rule: “Horses, ponies, llamas, vicunas, alpacas and other large domesticated animals are not permitted within the beach areas between April 1 and October 1.” In case you’re wondering, vicunas are a smaller relative of the llama. After meticulous research, Llily has yet to uncover any proof of wrong doing by llamas on this beach, or any others in the vicinity, and believes that false accusations have led to this rule against llamas. Hence why all the drama of her annual protest.

Llily Llama enjoyed her act of defiance on the beach playing in the sand and going for a walk.

Unfortunately there were few if any witnesses to her display of civil disobedience, because it was a cold 45ºF, lightly raining, and the fog was very thick on the beach that May morning.

Also it was incredibly early, because her unnamed rock star friend, is a good boy and didn’t want to break the dog rules. Well that, and Llily Llama’s grassroots protest doesn’t have much of a budget, so we had to have the car out of the parking lot before they started charging at 8:00 AM for the day.

But she sure showed the authorities! Please join us next year for the Fourth Annual Take Your Llama to the Beach Day!
