Thanks to the recent series of snowstorms, trail conditions are perfect for the 88th Laconia World Championship Sled Dog Derby.  Taking place this weekend, February 17, 18, and 19, 2017, in Laconia, New Hampshire, this International Sled Dog Racing Association sanctioned event has mushers from all over the Northeast and Canada competing on a rigorous 16-mile course over the lakes and into the woods.  Dubbed as “the greatest show on snow,” the sled dog derby makes for a different, entertaining and exciting way to spend an afternoon with the family.  So come on out and see these amazing dogs in action, while cheering on your favorite one, three, and six dog teams!
