Tomorrow is National Work Like a Dog Day. This day was created to honor hard working dogs, for our strong work ethic and sense of duty. So to celebrate, I thought I’d remind everyone of my hard work as Chief Executive Dog (CED), keeping my office running smoothly. Oh sure it may look like being an office dog is easy, but there is a lot of responsibility!
For example, I spend a lot of time supervising my staff…
…which often means long hours at my desk…
…while coworkers abuse their flextime, claiming they need to “recharge.”
Being the CED requires giving the occasional motivational speech…
…but sometimes it works too well, and my coworkers feel like they can walk all over me.
But in the end, we always find a way to work together until the job done.
Do I want to leave early some days?
Absolutely! But I know my office needs me. So I always stay.
I don’t want to sound ungrateful for this recognition on National Work Like a Dog Day, but if I win the big Mega Millions Lottery tonight, I may consider taking a few days off from the office.
