A Puppy’s Perspective on Holidays

First off I’d like to thank Chuck Billy for doing a great job as a big brother explaining to me the curious ways of humans.  But advance warning on holidays would have been appreciated.  I’m still getting use to our regular routine, and have to admit I’m a little confused on the concept of weekdays versus weekends.  So just imagine how bewildering last Sunday was when my routine was completely thrown asunder!

I knew something was afoot because Mom and Dad’s morning routine was a bit different.  But I was too busy searching for my breakfast hidden by some rabbit in the living room to pay much attention to them.  Next thing I knew I was loaded up in the car and headed off on the long drive to my Grandparents’ house for a day of fun and frivolity.  Don’t get me wrong, I loved every minute of it.  But a little advanced warning would have been nice.  Chuck Billy said I had plenty of warning starting with Mom changing the knickknacks around the house, followed by unnecessary baths, and new collars.  But all baths seem unnecessary to me, and what the heck are knickknacks?!  Apparently I still have a lot to learn!
