Asa: Polar Bear Or Polar Puppy

Earlier this week, we celebrated Asa’s 9th Gotcha Day Anniversary. However, I have to admit that early on I wasn’t so sure about his Golden pedigree. Oh sure we’ve met his “parents” Momma Sage and Daddy Spenser, but I just can’t shake the feeling that Asa is actually part polar bear! Or perhaps a yeti? Let’s review the evidence:

Exhibit A: On the night he was born in November – it snowed, on the afternoon Mom and Dad first met him – it snowed, on the day they brought Asa home – it snowed, and his first winter here in 2015 was one of the snowiest on record for Maine! Clearly there is a correlation!

Exhibit B: Polar bear cubs have big floppy paws. So does Asa. Polar bear cubs feel right at home in the snow. Asa feels right at home in the snow. Polar bear cubs are white and fluffy. Do you see any gold in those early photos of Asa?!

Exhibit C: Need more proof? I dare you to watch the video below and not see the similarities between Asa and a polar bear cub!

Asa seems really at home in the arctic tundra if you ask me. A lifelong love that continues to this day!
