Asa’s First Solo Investigation

Are “marsh circles” a thing? I’ve been flipping through Chuck Billy’s ufology notes, but all I’ve come across is information about a crop circle he found in the backyard. Which in my opinion was actually just dried grass from when Mom left our kiddie pool in the yard too long. Oh wait. Stop. Breathe. Let me back track. I got a little ahead of myself here. It’s my first solo UFO investigation, so I’m a little nervous.

While visiting the Scarborough Marsh section of the Eastern Trail, I came across these two perfectly round circles in the marsh. Well actually Dad noticed them. I was distracted making new friends. But as soon as he brought my attention to them, I was on the case! After all, that’s what Chuck Billy, the renowned Dog Ufologist, would want me to do! You can see them behind me in this photo.

I found in Chuck Billy’s research two articles about ice disks in Maine. The first occurred in 2019 when a 300-foot-wide ice disk was spotted slowly rotating in the Presumpscot River in Westbrook, with a second mysteriously appearing a few days later at Baxter State Park. Then almost exactly 3 years to the day, the mysterious ice disk reappeared in the Presumpscot River. What were those dates? January 18, 2019 and January 13, 2022. What date did I…oops I mean Dad (I give credit where credit is due)…spot the odd ice filled circle in the Scarborough Marsh? January 12, 2024! Surely Chuck Billy would argue that it wasn’t a coincidence!

Or is it? And better yet, is this latest discovery even technically an ice disk? It’s not rotating like the others were. In his original posts, Chuck Billy went into minute details about a Belgium study that found if the water below the ice changes temperature it can form a “vortex” causing the ice to spin. Well I’m sure you all remember where Chuck Billy’s thoughts went after he heard the word vortex! But I’m not convinced what I saw on my walk with Mom and Dad was a vortex. It seemed really solid, and there wasn’t any movement.

Oh but I did see an actual unidentified floating object along the trail moving in the water’s current! This time it wasn’t shaped like a traditional round UFO. Instead it was a triangle. Over the years Chuck Billy made me watch quite a few documentaries about triangular shaped UFOs. But to be honest, I may not have been paying close attention….or any attention. How was I suppose to know I’d be leading investigations someday? It must be cold where this triangle UFO came from because it definitely was made of ice. I think. Maybe. Oh how I wish I paid attention when Chuck Billy was collecting evidence. Should this have been a video to calculate speed?

According to the “Chuck Billy Theory on Extraterrestrial Visitors,” intergalactic tourists like to visit Maine on vacation. In fact, he has extensive evidence connecting meteor showers, shooting stars, and other activities in the sky over Maine being used to disguise UFOs entering our atmosphere. You have to ask yourself, where would a UFO park their ship after such a long journey? Well this marsh has plenty of space, and it is conveniently located near popular tourist attractions including the Eastern Trail, beaches, and even Funtown Splashtown waterpark! Could this marsh circle be evidence of a UFO parking spot?

If you need me, I’ll be reading more of Chuck Billy’s extensive dog ufology research notes. Some of it is written in a cryptic code, so that “they” can’t read his findings. By any change does anyone have a secret decoder ring that I could borrow? That may help speed up my first solo UFO investigation.

Chuck Billy, as your unwitting but loyal UFO apprentice, I promise to make you proud!
