For years now Asa has been sharing his song parodies and dreaming of going on a concert world tour. Well dream no more, little brother! Your rock star dreams are about to come true. We are proud to announce Asa’s World Tour…of Maine!
Alright, so although Dad’s new car is a Passport, apparently that is different than an actual passport. Therefore it won’t get us welcomed around the world, but it will get us to towns around Maine named after countries, as well as ones named for famous cities! So this summer and fall we plan to visit as many as we can for Asa’s World Tour of Maine!
Now every rock star needs a crew, and although not as many as the hundreds of people most world tours need, we have a dedicated group to help Asa achieve his dream. Dad will be our tour bus driver, in charge of getting us to these destinations. He’s also our roadie, who will be lugging all of our gear. Mom’s role is as Asa’s photographer, publicist, and crew caterer. I, of course, have the most important job as the tour manager! I will be working tirelessly to keep this show on the road, researching each place for Asa to make an appearance, planning the weather dependent tour dates, and keeping track of all the other intricate details that make for a successful world tour! Oh and Asa, he has the easiest role. He just needs to be Asa.
We have already done a few pop up appearances to prepare for this grand adventure. Based on our experience so far, will Asa’s World Tour of Maine make headlines at each stop like Taylor Swift? That’s a definite no. Will it even go entirely as planned? Probably not! I can only do so much as manager, with the talent of our rock star and crew that I have been given. We may even make Spinal Tap look like a well organized and successful tour in comparison. However, what we lack in fame and experience in putting on a world tour, we more than make up for with enthusiasm!
