You’ve heard of the “Dog Days of Summer,” well apparently the cats want in on the fun too. This summer the Cat Video Fest is coming to theaters across the country, with proceeds to benefit local animal shelters. According to the creators, “CatVideoFest is a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses. CatVideoFest is a joyous communal experience, only available in theaters, and raises money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters to best serve cats in the area.” Now doesn’t that sound purrrfect!
In Maine, the Portland Museum of Art is teaming up with the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, to air this 70 minute video compilation in their Bernard Osher Foundation Auditorium (7 Congress Square, Portland, ME) at multiple times on Friday, July 23, through Sunday, July 25, 2021. Tickets are $5, with 10% to help our feline friends at ARLGP.
Don’t live in the Portland area, but think this event is the cat’s meow? Check out CatVideoFest.com to find a screening in your state.
