Chuck Billy’s Incident at Exeter

Recently I was asked about my first big interview as a renowned Dog Ufologist. It all happened during my incident at Exeter in 2019. No, I’m not talking about the infamous Incident at Exeter, in which a UFO was spotted in Exeter, New Hampshire on September 3, 1965. I’m referring to my experience at the Exeter UFO Festival a few years ago. The Exeter UFO Festival is an annual event hosted by the Kiwanis Club, in which esteemed ufologists and journalists share their research on Aliens and UFO sightings. There are also many family friendly events, including an Alien Pet Costume Contest. I find this contest fascinating because I didn’t know Aliens even had pets! But I digress. The Exeter UFO Festival is an educational experience for both believers and skeptics, and a fun time for families. However, there is one glaring problem. Dogs are NOT allowed to go inside town hall to attend the lecture series! But that didn’t stop me, from finally getting the recognition I deserved!

Despite my willingness to share my compelling evidence on the 1961 UFO abduction of Betty and Barney Hill’s dog, Delsey, I was turned away from the lectures due to the silly no dogs allowed inside rule. So I patiently sat outside an open window, hanging on every word of the bits and pieces I could hear of Kathleen Marden’s presentation.

To think on the other side of this wall is Kathleen Marden, who knew Betty and Barney Hill’s dog, Delsey!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t concentrate on her talk because people kept coming up to pet me. Would you believe not one person recognized me or asked me about my research? Just when I was about to introduce myself to the Exeter Kiwanis Club’s President, whose group organizes this fundraiser for children’s charities each year, Mom and Dad announced it was time to head over to the park for the pet costume contest and parade.

Pouting in the park, while Asa noticed some out of this world characters.

Meanwhile, as I tried to educate people on my dog ufology theories, Asa was just hanging out enjoying all the sights and sounds of the festival.

The moment Asa became a believer that Aliens walk among us.

Reluctantly I watched as Asa happily put on his costume for the pet alien costume contest. Mom, how will anyone take me serious standing next to Asa dressed as a rocket ship? At least she didn’t make me dress up, and instead let me educate people about my blog post, “What Happened to Delsey?”

Despite not being allowed inside, I took this opportunity to educate people about Delsey’s possible UFO abduction that night Betty and Barney Hill met the extraterrestrials.

At first my sign received a skeptical reception. One woman even asked why I didn’t dress up! However, slowly but surely it was working. People were approaching me to ask who was Delsey! That’s when my big break came. Danny from the “No Reason to Exist” podcast came over to interview ME! Would you believe he had never heard of Delsey before or me for that matter? At least I got my research out there to the world!

Finally, my first big interview as a dog ufologist!
See this Exeter UFO Festival? Someone is interested in what I have to say! Although I wasn’t invited to speak this year either, if you’d like to know more about this event, please visit the ExeterUFOFestival.org.
