Dad’s Levitating Car

Asa here.  I know something Chuck Billy doesn’t know.  Dad’s car can levitate!  I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes.  It all started when I went with Dad to get his car’s annual check up.  Just like how I go to the vet and get a squeaky toy, he takes his car to be inspected by a car doctor, and it gets a sticker.  I figured since the car takes me to my appointment, the least I could do is tag along for his.  Little did I realize what surprises lay in store!

The appointment started out rather boring.  Dad and I sat in the waiting room, while the car doctor examined our vehicle.  I decided to take this as a training opportunity to practice sit/stay with Dad.  We got a bit lazy in Mom and Dad’s training this past month, so rather than keep his eyes on me Dad had his face buried in his phone.  At first I patiently waited for him to notice me sitting on the opposite side of the waiting room, but that got boring real fast.  That’s when I noticed that the nice woman was watching me.  I know Chuck Billy said it’s unbecoming of a celebrity, such as myself, to run after fans.  But she was also obviously practicing her sit/stay and not moving from her chair.  So I compromised and crawled across the floor to visit with her.  Well that certainly got Dad’s attention!  Who knew he had a jealous streak?  He immediately got up, and brought me back to where I was originally sitting.  I hope that nice woman wasn’t insulted by Dad’s behavior.  On the bright side, at least it reminded Dad of his training, and that he has to keep an eye on me.

Anyways, back to the levitating car.  After what seemed like an eternity, and a few more commando crawls across the floor to greet people, the car doctor called us in to discuss Dad’s car.  That’s when I saw it hovering in the air above our heads!  I was instantly awestruck, and just sat there looking up at it.  Where was Mom with her camera?  Chuck Billy will never believe this!  Just think of all the adventures we could go on in a flying car!

Clearly Dad already knew his car could levitate, because he was not impressed in the least when he saw it hovering there.  Instead he looked rather upset.  Maybe he didn’t want me to know his secret?  To be honest, I wasn’t really paying attention to what the car doctor said.  I did hear him say something about “pass inspection this time,” but “this will probably need fixing in the future.”  Future?  Does this mean it’s like that car in Back to the Future?  Dad could be Doc Brown and I could be Marty McFly!  But alas, rather than fly home, we drove as always.  Not sure why Dad doesn’t want Chuck Billy to know his car can fly, but his secret is safe with me.

I wonder if I can borrow the security footage of Dad’s car levitating to show Chuck Billy?
