Dogged Determination

I got to hand it to Asa, he’s a determined little fellow who doesn’t give up easily.  He’s been searching for quite awhile now for the ball Mom threw.  A task that is virtually impossible thanks to the fact the trees exploded and left their leaves all over our yard.  I blame the Squirrels for the mess, but I digress.  Anyways, I gave up on this game of fetch a good ten minutes ago, and now I’m pleasantly amused watching his dogged determination to find the ball.

Now you may recall I’ve mentioned that Asa and I do not have the best eye / mouth coordination.  Therefore, more often than not we end up retrieving the ball after it hits the ground.  In addition to the leaves, it doesn’t help that Mom chose a red ball.  She could have at least given Asa a fighting chance by using one of our bright yellow tennis balls instead.  Luckily though, not only is Asa committed to finishing what he started, he’s also a good problem solver.  So when he couldn’t find the ball but uncovered our missing frisbee instead, he triumphantly brought that back to Mom, so the game of fetch could continue.  Good thing too, because I was starting to get bored.  Got to go!  Game on!
