Grab your leashes and head to Oxford, Maine for the the 5th Annual Fun Dog Day! This tail wagging fundraiser will be taking place on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Oxford Fairgrounds (68 Pottle Road, Oxford, ME). Hosted by Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills, Fun Dog Day has something for every member of your family both two-legged and four. There will be shopping with local vendors and crafters, delicious food, and activities for kids in the Pup Tent. K9 Aros and K9 Bruin of the Maine State Police will also be there to show off their crime fighting skills. In addition, Nooksack Racing and Down East Sled Dog Club will be doing demonstrations throughout the day of K9 Cross with carts. For four legged attendees, there will be games and activities, as well as Wayne’s Water World to keep your dog cool and refreshed. Furry Kids Pet Photography will also be there to take a keepsake photo of your pup at Fun Dog Day. Also don’t forget to enter your pet into the Dog Show with a variety of categories so that every pup participating can shine!
The Fundraiser Walk steps off at 10:00 AM. You can download a waiver to register in advance at Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills or sign up that morning at Fun Dog Day. Registration is $10 for individuals and $25 for teams with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the shelter for the care of animals. All registered walkers will receive a bandana, and there are also prizes for the top fundraisers. Entry to get in to Fun Dog Day is a suggested donation of $3 a person or $10 for a carload but is not required.
All proceeds from the 5th Annual Fun Dog Day will benefit the important work of Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills. Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills provides a safe and comfortable environment for dogs and cats from Oxford County, Maine that have become lost or have been abandoned. They are a no-kill, nonprofit shelter, who help over 700+ animals yearly, by reuniting lost dogs with their families and helping cats and kittens find their forever home.
