Good news! Mom is slowly, emphasis on slowly, getting better! Mom’s surgery went well, but she had a bit of a setback when it turned out she is allergic to most of the medications they gave her. So not only did she have to deal with the trauma of surgery, Mom had to cope with the bad reactions. But Mom is a “tough cookie” as Grandpa use to say, and after a rough couple of weeks she is slowly getting back to normal.

I’d like to take complete credit for nursing Mom back to health, but sadly she’s been separated from myself and Asa these past two weeks. So as we spend some quality time with her, I’m just taking this moment to let you know she’s over the roughest part. There’s still a bit of a ways to go before she can resume being our administrative assistant, so we’ll just be checking in from time to time as we’re able. Please know though that we miss you all and have been thinking of you!
