Ok, I admit it, I’ve been a little lazy when it comes to homeschooling Asa over the summer. I knew he may have forgotten a lesson or two over the past few months. However, I never realized how out of touch he was getting with his inner wolf until the other day when he happily carried a squeaky toy around with him. It didn’t even cross Asa’s mind to kill it! Nor did he even so much as give it a good shake to break its neck! Disgusted, I instantly killed his toy, told Asa he needed to get reacquainted with his inner wolf, and stormed out of the room.
Silly me thought Asa would immediately get to work showing some unsuspecting toy who’s the boss, chasing Mr. Squirrel across the backyard, or at least barking at the birds sitting on our fence. But what does Asa do? Like all puppies of his generation who think all of life’s answers can be found on Netflix, I found him watching a documentary on wolves! Yep, there he was sacked out in front of the TV watching Humans tell him how to be a wolf! I instantly turned on our Living with a Golden YouTube channel, and pulled up the training video I made for him when he was just a puppy. Clearly I need to get a better handle on Asa’s homeschooling.
