Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, Chapel + Main is brewing a new golden ale, appropriately called Golden Retriever!  Best yet, proceeds from the sale of this limited edition brew benefits our friends at the Cocheco Valley Humane Society!  To celebrate the release of Golden Retriever Ale, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, Chapel + Main (83 Main Street, Dover, NH) will donate 15% of their total profit for the day to the shelter.  So come on down between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM and enjoy their locally sourced New England inspired dishes, while raising a toast of Golden Retriever Ale to the important mission of the Cocheco Valley Humane Society.  Can’t make it on May 22?  You’re in luck because Chapel + Main will donate to CVHS $0.50 for each pint of Golden Retriever Ale sold until the beer runs out!

The Cocheco Valley Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals in Strafford County, NH and Southern Maine.  They are the temporary home for more than 1,500 surrendered, lost, abused, neglected, or unwanted animals each year.  More than just an animal shelter, CVHS is also a community resource for Strafford County and surrounding areas. Much of their work is providing programs and services that benefit animals and their humans including pet food assistance, humane education programs, and Safe Pets.  Safe Pets provides a temporary safety net for pets when their owners find themselves in a time of transition. Victims of domestic violence, those who must be hospitalized for an extended time, and even service people being sent overseas can call on CVHS to provide temporary care.  They are also proud partners in the Chris’ Pets for Vets program.
