Golden Retrievers’ Flying Saucer Proves to be Frisbee

The Golden Retrievers’ discovery which for several hours on Monday rocked the UFO-conscious nation has since been identified as a frisbee wrapped in tinfoil and some little green birthday balloons. Thus exploding the rumor that was incorrectly circulated yesterday that Golden Retrievers captured a flying saucer.

After consulting with two government officials dressed in black, Chuck Billy, a renowned Dog Ufologist, announced that the silvery appearance was the result of tinfoil being caught on the toy. He added that what Asa had mistaken as “little green men” were in reality balloons leftover from a birthday party.

The following is an excerpt from Chuck Billy’s press release:

Asa, who discovered the remains, knew nothing about flying discs when he found the objects in the backyard yesterday. After gathering the items and showing them to an expert, it was determined we were simply looking at a pile of tinfoil, cloth and rubber. There is no such thing as a flying saucer or little green men.

We apologize for Asa’s overactive imagination. Therefore, I repeat, it has been determined that the recovered debris is a frisbee and birthday balloons. No flying saucer or little green men have been captured.

Asa: But this isn’t what I found in the yard yesterday.
Chuck Billy: That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
