We are very fortunate to have many dog friendly trails here in southern Maine maintained by conservation groups, including the Great Works Regional Land Trust which preserves land in the towns of Eliot, South Berwick, Berwick, North Berwick, Wells and Ogunquit. This Saturday, March 12, 2016, celebrate 30 years of Great Works’ mission by attending their annual fundraising dinner at Spring Hill Restaurant (117 Pond Rd, South Berwick, ME).
This fundraiser will include a silent auction, live auction, 50/50 raffle and door prizes, as well as a dinner featuring locally sourced food. More than 150 auction items have been donated by conservation and community-minded artisans, businesses and friends of the Great Works Land Trust. This includes personal guided hiking tours from local authors, private sails along the Maine coastline, gift certificates to restaurants with an emphasis on local fare and handcrafted spirits, original artwork of Great Works properties, and even more unique items like composted animal manure!
Tickets are $40 each or $350 for a table of ten, with advanced purchase required at gwrlt.org or by calling 207.646.3604. A full list of auction items is available, with email bids being accepted through Friday, March 11, 2016.
Great Works Regional Land Trust is a members supported non-profit dedicated to the protection of the natural, historical, agricultural, scenic and recreational resources within the Maine communities of Eliot, North Berwick, South Berwick, Berwick, Wells and Ogunquit.
