Happy 5th Anniversary Living with a Golden!

The state of Maine isn’t the only one celebrating a big anniversary this year. 2020 marks the 5th Anniversary for our blog, Living with a Golden! Five years ago in January 2015 I started this blog with three goals in mind: First, to welcome my little brother Asa into our family; Second, to keep my big brother Lemmy’s memory alive; and Third, to share with you a few of my favorite dog friendly places. Never in my wildest imagination, and you know that my imagination can be really wild, did I even think it would become as popular as it is, with friends across the country and around the world! Thank You!

Thank you for coming along on our adventures no matter how out of the world they may be, for encouraging us to dream big, for cheering us up on droopy tail days, and for challenging us to expand our world by exploring new places. We also thank you for sticking with us through the typos and when technical glitches pop up from time to time. I really do promise we’ll get the Dog Friendly Places pages back into alphabetical order and find a new app for directions. Also thank you for supporting the dog friendly community fundraisers that we share, and lending a helping paw to causes that we endorse. Finally, thank you for sharing your stories and pictures with us! We’ve enjoyed getting to know the many friends who take the time to comment and share whether it is through Twitter, Facebook, or the blog itself. We enjoy meeting all of you!

So let’s raise a toast! Cheers to 1,300+ blog posts, 100+ dog friendly places, and countless happy tail wags along the way! Happy 5th Anniversary Living with a Golden!

Asa: Can I finally have my own weekly column?
Chuck Billy: No, you’re too young.
Asa: But you weren’t even 3 years old yet when you started LivingwithaGolden.com, and I’m 5!
Chuck Billy: Trust me, I know what I’m doing. Now enough talking, let’s get this party started!
