The Rolling Stones brought their world tour to New England last night. Unfortunately, despite practicing his moves like Jagger, Asa did not receive an invitation to join them on stage…or even to be in the same stadium…or state. Not to be deterred though, we are moving forward with the release of Asa’s parody of the Rolling Stones’ “Get Off of My Cloud,” which was requested by longtime listener, Hannah. So let’s all shake a paw in the air to Hey You, Get Off of My Lawn!

I live in a big house
It is the nicest one on my block

Then in flies a bird
Who’s been gone all winter but is back
He says “I will build a nest

A chipmunk sat there singin’
She says, “Hi, look at me, the weather is fine.”
A chipmunk replies, “Hey you! Out here
The sunshine sure feels divine.”

It’s three pm, there’s too much noise
Don’t you chipmunks wanna talk someplace else instead?
‘Cause you ruin my mood
And drive the thoughts right out of my head

I was bored and tired, fed up with this
And I went for a walk out on my grounds
It was so very quiet and peaceful

I laid on the grass
I was so tired and I started to dream
Surrounded by dandelions wavin’ just like small flags
Cheerin’ for a team
