Highland Farm Preserve, York, ME

Highland Farm Preserve in York, Maine offers seven trails for dog friendly hiking.  Consisting of 151 acres in the York River watershed, Highland Farm Preserve’s trails are of varied terrain that take you through dense forests, past vernal pools, and up to scenic outcroppings.  As with Orris Falls in South Berwick, the Highland Farm Preserve has traces of history with forgotten stone walls, family cemeteries, and even a cellar hole.

Owned by the York Land Trust, this area is home to many wildlife habitats, therefore dogs must remain on leash.  The trails are clearly marked, there is a large and convenient parking lot with a portable toilet, and there are picnic tables available, including one at a scenic outlook.
