Howl for the Animals 2022

Dogs, have you ever wanted to visit a haunted house? Or how about want to make friends with a friendly monster? Or are you just looking for a great opportunity to show off your Halloween costume while supporting animals in need? Well this is your opportunity to do all that at Howl for the Animals, to benefit the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Cocheco Valley!

Howl for the Animals takes place this Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Haunted Overload at DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, New Hampshire (20 Orchard Way). Proceeds from Howl for the Animals directly benefit the important work of the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Cocheco Valley in Dover, NH, caring for the homeless and neglected animals of Strafford County and Southern Maine.

Dogs are allowed at Haunted Overload this Sunday only, at Howl for the Animals, which is a non-scary event for the whole family. There will be friendly characters handing out candy to trick or treaters, as well as crafts for children. Admission is $10.00 per person with all proceeds to benefit the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Cocheco Valley in Dover. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Howl for the Animals, or day of at the event. But please note it is CASH ONLY on-site. Dogs must be on-leash, and please don’t anger the monsters by forgetting to clean up after your pets! 

In addition to Howl for the Animals, Haunted Overload will continue its long tradition of generously donating 10% of their profits from the entire season to the animal shelter! Haunted Overload is one of the top haunts in the country!  This outdoor haunt is an experience unlike any other, with actors, 34-foot monsters and scary structures that rival movie quality sets and special effects. Haunted Overload takes place at DeMeritt Hill Farm Fridays through Sundays in October. Tickets for the regular season must be purchased in advance, with proceeds to benefit the animal shelter. Humans, do you want to lend a helping paw and be able to experience a frightening good time for free? Volunteers are still needed! If you have a passion for Halloween makeup, costumes or acting, or simply want to help with selling tickets, helping people park, or manning the queue line at the haunts, they have a place for you! Best yet the more shifts you volunteer for the more FREE admissions you receive to this giant haunted playground!
