Adolescent Asa is eighteen months old! To celebrate this milestone once again he is singing his version of a classic rock anthem. This time he has changed the words to “I’m Eighteen” by Alice Cooper. To be honest, I’m getting use to Asa singing the wrong words. I just wish he’d wash off that ridiculous makeup! He looks nothing like Alice Cooper!
Life’s full of the run and fetch.
Life’s full of the sit and wait.
I’m in the middle without any plans.
I’m a puppy and I’m a dog.
I’m Eighteen Months!
And I don’t know what I want.
Eighteen Months, I just don’t know what I want.
Eighteen Months, I can’t sit and stay,
I gotta get outside to play.
I’ll go running everyplace, oh yeah!
I’ve got a puppy’s brain and an old dog’s heart.
Took Eighteen Months to get this far.
Don’t always know what I’m barking about.
I’m not sure if I should snuggle or pout.
‘Cause I’m Eighteen Months!
I get confused every day.
Eighteen Months,
I just don’t know what Mom says.
Eighteen Months, I gotta go play!
Whoa!
Life’s full of the jump and dig.
Life’s full of the down and sit.
I’m in the middle, the middle of adolescence.
I’m a puppy and I’m a dog.
I’m Eighteen Months and I like it!
Yes, I like it!
Oh I like it, I love it, I’ll chase it, I’ll fetch it,
I’m Eighteen Months,
Eighteen Months, and I like it!
Thanks Spike Metalman for once again helping with Asa’s new look.
Oh and here’s the real version of “I’m Eighteen” by Alice Cooper with the correct lyrics,
for those of you, like me, who prefer the original song.
