I’m Kinda a Big Deal

Finally we at Living With a Golden are getting the recognition we deserve!  In honor of my 100th post, Market Basket’s bakery made frosted sugar cookies in the likeness of Asa and myself.  Mom is trying to keep us humble by saying that it is pure coincidence.  But just look at those cookies.  How could they not be us?!  I just wish the fine bakers at Market Basket told us, so we could greet our adoring fans.  Not to mention, I also wish they made something we could eat!  The idea of Asa on a sugar cookie high sends shivers down my spine.  He’s already enough of a handful.  But I digress.  Rather I would like to take this moment to share my acceptance speech for this humbling award (See what I did there?  I’m keeping it humble just like Mom wants):

Wow, what an honor.  This moment is bigger than me.  This moment is for all the dogs out there who have a dream.  A dream not only to eat a sugar cookie, but to be immortalized as a sugar cookie!  Oh man, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was preparing for this moment my whole life.  But still it is a huge shock.  Here’s the thing about being immortalized as a sugar cookie, I never dreamed it would actually happen.  But I kept on dreaming.  And of course I would be highly remiss if I didn’t acknowledge those who helped me to achieve this dream.  This honor is the result of a lot of other people’s work.  From the baker who made the batter and baked the cookies, to the person who frosted them, to my Mom who drove to Market Basket to buy them.  I wouldn’t be here accepting this award without their blood, sweat, tears, and frosting.  So with heartfelt gratitude, I thank you.

[Editor’s Note: We sincerely apologize for Chuck Billy’s dramatic response.  It truly was a random coincidence.]
