Asa here. Yet again I feel the need to take over Chuck Billy’s blog to write about something I feel strongly about – Stop the Cruelty to Zombies! Last night Mom and Dad watched yet another offensive Zombie movie. While they scared themselves silly, I found myself getting upset with the unfair treatment of Zombies. Because as a Puppy, I feel Zombies and Puppies display similar behavior, but get radically different responses.
Zombies and Puppies are both very misunderstood by people. Don’t they know that as with Puppies, Zombies are just exploring the world through their mouths? They don’t really want to eat people, but rather just want to lick them. But inevitably people see a Puppy and start squealing, or in the case of Zombies start screaming. Well that gets us excited and we start nipping and biting! So please keep a level demeanor with us, and chances are we won’t bite.
Also, why do people insist on playing the chase game, then suddenly change their minds when it comes to Zombies? People are running, of course the Zombie wants to chase them! Just like Puppies can’t resist running after something that is moving. Yet for some reason it is cute when Puppies do it, but not when Zombies play. Add in the person screaming, and the game quickly escalates.
Another similarity between Zombies and Puppies are they are pack animals. No Zombie wants to go staggering through life alone. So that’s why they often travel in packs. As with Puppies, they see people as potential new friends. Never in these movies do people stop to take the time to get to know the Zombies. As a Golden Retriever Puppy, I like to see the good in all people. Therefore, I believe that inside each decaying Zombie lies a kind hearted person just trying to stagger their way in this world.
Chuck Billy often refers to me as Zombie Puppy. I accept that nickname as a badge of honor! So please next time you watch a Zombie movie, cheer for the Zombie and Stop Cruelty to Zombies!
