Kenyon Hill Preserve in South Berwick is an interesting place to hike with your dog in Maine. Adjacent to the more popular Mount Agamenticus in York, Kenyon Hill offers a serene hike through dense forrest, past wetlands, by the headwaters of the Ogunquit River, and up hilly terrain to enormous granite boulders. There are also two foundations and a dug well on these 96 acres owned by the Great Works Regional Land Trust.
The trails are rudimentary, and are at times difficult to follow. However, well worth going to see the large glacial erratic boulders and marvel at the abutting stone walls on this hilly terrain marking pastures of forgotten farms. The Trailhead can be found on the corner of Bennett Lot Road and Ogunquit Road, with a small parking lot.
