Late to the Party, Yet Right on Time

My producer and pal, Philip Sloth, is a great friend. Always smiling, ready to lend a helping squeak. Just one thing, he’s perpetually late. In this case, he’s running 6 months behind. This weekend Philip Sloth was all dressed up and ready to celebrate my birthday. Problem is my birthday is November 25th. However, as luck would have it, Saturday was my half-birthday of 10.5! So as not to embarrass or disappoint my fashionably late friend, after all he did go through the effort of putting on a party hat, we celebrated my half-birthday!

I got out the arts and crafts supplies to make everyone’s favorite party game – Peanut Butter Pupcassos!

Philip Sloth, preferring molasses over peanut butter, happily watched as I painted.

Then we played his favorite party game of watching paint dry.

Overall, although late to the party, Philip Sloth’s timing was perfect. Celebrating my half-birthday was exactly the fun we needed this weekend. Thanks Philip Sloth! You’re a great friend!

Now comes the awkward part of waiting for my sloth friend to leave…

Philip Sloth: last to arrive and last to leave the party.
