Enjoy a tranquil dog friendly walk surrounded by the ocean and fairy houses at Mackworth Island in Falmouth, Maine. Located just minutes away from Portland, Mackworth Island is a scenic 1.5 mile walk around the perimeter of the island, with picturesque views of Casco Bay and its many islands. Dogs are allowed on-leash on both the path and along the rocky shore.

Adding to the magic of this walk are wooden swings nestled amongst the trees with scenic water views. There is also a pet cemetery for the fourteen Irish Setters who once called this island home, when it was the summer residence of Percival Baxter.
