Mom, Leave It

Mom, Leave It! Back away from the Christmas tree! We repeat, Leave It! We know that for the past week you have been insisting that Christmas is over and have been putting away the decorations. However our friend Opie mentioned that perhaps we should keep our stockings hanging in case Santa has extra treats to give us. Therefore, we must insist that you keep at least one Christmas tree up so that we may conduct an important experiment.

We all know Santa comes sneaking around leaving gifts in the pre-dawn hours on December 25th. However, what if Santa wants to bring toys and treats other days but has no place to leave them? Has it ever occurred to you that poor Santa may not want to do all his deliveries in one night? Perhaps he would prefer to periodically drop by our home to leave gifts throughout the year. We could be forcing Santa to always work on the Holiday by your insistence on taking the tree down after January 6th!

Just think by simply leaving our tree up a bit longer, we could forever change Santa’s life by giving him more flextime to get his work done! Santa works very hard to make us happy. Isn’t it about time we consider Santa’s happiness? Now start baking some cookies, in case Santa reads this and decides to pay us a visit tonight!

Chuck Billy: Do you think Mom will listen to us? Asa: Of course! Mom is well trained and knows the Leave It command.
