Finally I received the recognition I deserve as a Dog Ufologist! I was interviewed for a podcast at the Exeter UFO Festival! The day started out as I had assumed, but ended beyond my wildest dreams.
Despite my willingness to share my compelling evidence on Delsey the dog’s UFO abduction in 1961, I was turned away from the lectures due to the silly no dogs allowed inside rule. So I patiently sat outside an open window, hanging on the every word of the bits and pieces I could hear of Kathleen Marden’s presentation.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t concentrate on her talk because people kept coming up to pet me. Would you believe not one person recognized me or asked me about my research? Just when I was about to introduce myself to the Exeter Kiwanis Club’s President, whose group organizes this fundraiser for children’s charities each year, Mom and Dad announced it was time to head over to the park for the pet costume contest and parade.
Meanwhile, as I tried to educate people on my dog ufology theories, Asa was just hanging out enjoying all the sights and sounds of the festival.
Reluctantly I watched as Asa happily put on his costume for the pet alien costume contest. Mom, how will anyone take me serious standing next to Asa dressed as a rocket ship? At least she didn’t make me dress up, and instead let me educate people about my blog post, “What Happened to Delsey?”
At first my sign received a skeptical reception. One woman even asked why I didn’t dress up! However, slowly but surely it was working. People were approaching me to ask who was Delsey! That’s when my big break came. Danny from the “No Reason to Exist” podcast came over to interview ME! Would you believe he had never heard of Delsey before or me for that matter? At least I got my research out there to the world!
