Asa here. There has been an awful lot of talk lately about our pet Honey Bees and whether or not Chuck Billy should combine his hive with mine. Well no one has bothered to ask me what I think. I have the prefect compromise! Give my Azzza Hive to Chuck Billy, and let me pick out my own pet. In fact, I already know what I want. I want a Bunny!
Recently while visiting my cat cousins, Koloa and DeNiro, I met their pet rabbits, Sarah and Lanikai. They’re awesome! I spent most of the visit mesmerized watching them, and realized that we have a lot in common – Rabbits eat carrots. I eat carrots. Rabbits are quiet. I’m quiet. Especially compared to Chuck Billy who barks at everything that moves outside our window. Rabbits even jump when they are happy, and so do I! Ok, I’m a little grossed out that they go to the bathroom in the house in a litter box. But maybe that’s only because the bunnies I met currently live with cats, and picked up their bad habits. Despite that one character flaw, rabbits are way more fun than Honey Bees.
Heck, even my half-siblings Duncan and Dea each have a pet bunny. So why can’t I? I promise to love it and hug it and squeeze it, and name it The Prince of Darkness! Now if you please excuse me, I’m going to watch a documentary on rabbits to be prepared for my new pet. Which I might add is more research than Chuck Billy ever did before deciding to get Honey Bees! HA! Bees are boring pets. You can’t even chase them around the house!
[Editor’s Note: Asa, I like the creative name you picked out for your bunny, and that you are willing to give Chuck Billy your pet Honey Bees. I’m even impressed by your efforts to learn more about rabbits. However, despite what your cat cousins tell you, rabbits are siblings not pets. And I’m sorry to say you’re not getting a new sibling at this time. Perhaps when you are older and not prone to the whims of adolescence, I’ll reconsider. But in the meantime you are welcome to visit with your bunny cousins anytime you want, as long as you promise not to chase them!]
