New England Golden Jubilee 2019

Ever wonder what a gaggle of Golden Retrievers diving for 100 tennis balls looks like? Well find out at the New England Golden Jubilee! Mark your calendars because on May 18, 2019 Golden Retrievers from throughout New England and beyond will be partying at the 5th Annual New England Golden Jubilee!

Golden Retrievers will be gathering at Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, Vermont with a purpose; to support the critical research of the Morris Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, to honor the important mission of Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, to remember special Golden angels, and to celebrate what it means to be a Golden Retriever!  According to the organizers of the New England Golden Jubilee, Sandra and Peter Lok, “The mere presence of a Golden Retriever, their soft fur, wide smiles and soulful eyes, helps to enrich our lives.  The New England Golden Jubilee is about helping to enrich the lives of these beloved beings.  We’ll celebrate their very presence and indulge their playful spirits with pure Golden Fun!”

The day will be filled with games, swimming, hiking, blessing of the animals, food, doggie dancing…and endless games of fetch!  Goldens will also gather in front of Dog Chapel to pay tribute to their dearly missed family and friends who crossed Rainbow Bridge, as well as honor this year’s Tears of Joy recipient. Oh and be sure to buy your raffle tickets for the Kibble Cup Auction to benefit Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue!

Each registered dog who attends will receive a gift bag of goodies and a special New England Golden Jubilee bandana.  Also you can proudly show your support for this great event by purchasing in advance limited edition  New England Golden Jubilee Apparel, featuring the new 5th anniversary logo!  $5 from every purchase will be donated to the Morris Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.  In short, the New England Golden Jubilee is pure Golden bliss, all for a good cause!  Need more convincing?  Then read our post written after attending our first Jubilee in 2017.  It truly is a day filled with Golden Moments and Mischief!

So what are you waiting for?  Register now!  Registration is FREE, but monetary donations to help cover the cost of the New England Golden Jubilee are very much appreciated.  All remaining funds will be donated to the Morris Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.  Last year $2,818.83 was raised for the Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study from on-line donations as well as those made at the Jubilee.  That donation also qualified for a matching donation bringing it to a grand total of $5,636.76!  New and gently used dog/Golden Retriever items donated for the Kibble-Cup Auction are also very much appreciated.  Proceeds from the auction will be donated to Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue.  In fact, last year the auction raised $2,635.00 for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue!  To learn more about this Golden celebration including dog friendly hotels in the area, and to register, please visit New England Golden Jubilee, and be sure to follow them on Facebook for all the latest updates!

Here are a few of our favorite New England Golden Jubilee moments from 2017 and 2018:

Meet the Heroes of the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. There will also be group photos of Cancer Survivors, Therapy Dogs, Pups age 2 and under, and Senior Dogs age 10 and over…
… and everyone is invited to be in the group photo of ALL the attendees!
All registered dogs will receive their very own swag bag filled with goodies including a Jubilee bandana. Check out what we got in 2018!
Also if you’re lucky you may win a basket in the Kibble Cup Auction. This was just one of the many prizes donated last year!
There of course will be a chow line serving delicious hamburgers and hot dogs…
…with plenty of opportunities to run in the lush green fields…
…swim in the pond…
…and explore the hiking trails.
But everyone’s favorite highlight is the 100 tennis balls tossed into the pond! So will we be seeing you at the 2019 New England Golden Jubilee on May 18, 2019? Register today!
