The other day I shared that I was lucky enough to enjoy two breakfasts thanks to Dad’s confusion over the time change. However, not all dogs are as lucky as me, especially during the pandemic, and their families are having trouble keeping their dog bowls full. No family should have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets, during these difficult financial times. That’s why the New Hampshire SPCA is stepping up to lend a helping paw with their Community Pet Food Share, on Sunday, March 21, 2021.
If you are a New Hampshire resident, the NHSPCA is inviting anyone in need of food for their dogs or cats to come to their shelter on Portsmouth Ave., in Stratham, on Sunday between the hours of 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to pick up a supply of pet food. Thanks to large pet food grants from GreaterGood.org as well as the generosity of community members, they are eliminating the financial review needed to qualify for their regular pet food pantry. Instead they are encouraging New Hampshire residents, “If there is a need, please come and take care of your animals.” This event will be conducted with curbside pickup safety precautions, and masks are required. Donations of unopened pet food will also be accepted that day.
