No Scrunching, No Munching

Asa is experiencing another rite of passage.  He received his first big boy bed for his crate!  That is an important milestone for a dog.  One that he’ll never forget.  It means that Mom and Dad trust him not to have accidents and that he is mature enough to not play with it, or worse yet try to eat it.  Asa is long overdue for this benchmark into adulthood, and I have to admit I’m to blame for the delay.

You see, I had a bit of a problem adapting to my first big boy bed.  Ok, to be completely honest I had no clue what to do with it.  First I tried sleeping underneath it.

Then I tried pushing it out of my way.

I even tried redecorating by making it into a chair.

But nothing worked.  So I dragged the bed out of my crate and walked away after destroying it.

Truth be told, two destroyed beds and one year later, it was actually Lemmy’s awesome memory foam bed that made me realize the benefit of having one.  So what if I was two years old before I reached that realization!  Some of us are late bloomers.  Oh and if you’re wondering how Asa reacted to his first big boy bed, boy wonder simply laid down on it and went to sleep.  No scrunching, no munching.  He really has no sense of creativity.
