Notes from the Heart

Still looking for a thoughtful gift for that special someone? Something that brings a big smile? We suggest writing a letter! Ever since Chuck Billy and I were puppies, we take a moment from our busy schedule to write letters and notes to our loved ones, especially those older family members who aren’t too keen on technology, and young friends who are too connected and need to unplug. Oh sure emails and texts are quicker. But there’s just something special about receiving a handwritten note in the mail.

It can be just a short note in a card, telling them you’re thinking of them. Or perhaps a longer letter letting them know how much you care. Sure it can be said in a phone call or over Zoom, but there’s just something about seeing it in writing that warms the heart, especially this year when we can’t all be together.

And it is a gift that doesn’t need to stop once the Holidays are over! We write our notes to cherished loved ones throughout the year. Sometimes we include printed photos of our adventures. Other times we’ll even make a card using stuff found around the house. Some notes are brief, in others we share “news” of what we’re up to these days. All are written with love.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to write an important letter to Grandma…
