Our Family Tree Ornaments

Let’s be honest, most of us won’t be able to be with our loved ones this Christmas, including us. Although Mom is happily decorating, we can tell she’s sad knowing we won’t be able to celebrate with family and friends this year. But one thing Santa and Golden Retrievers don’t like is droopy tails! So Asa and I decided to help Mom smile by making our loved ones into ornaments for our very own family tree!

We printed photos of our grandparents and many other relatives, and cut them into ornament-like shapes. We then pasted them on festive card stock paper, but Christmas cards from previous years also would have worked. Finally we tied a bit of ribbon for hanging, and voila! Ornaments for the tree!

Ok, they aren’t fancy. Remember we’re just dogs and Mom isn’t Martha Stewart. However seeing their smiling faces makes our tails wag, and reminds Mom that although we’re apart, we’re all together in spirit this Christmas.

We even added our Dog Dads, Eclipse and Spenser, and Dog Mom, Momma Sage, to the family tree too. Please forgive us for them being a bit crooked. Happy tails and ornaments sometimes don’t go well together.
