Join us this Saturday for a special opportunity for dogs to help people. Broadview Animal Hospital and Homemakers Health Services of Rochester are teaming up to bring you the first annual Paws for a Purpose Dog Walk in Rochester, NH! Paws for a Purpose is a unique fundraiser for Homemakers Health Services of Rochester. The Homemakers are a charitable health care agency that provides compassionate and cost effective visiting nurses, behavioral health, physical, occupational and speech therapies, home support, adult medical day care services and community wellness programs to adults throughout Strafford and parts of Carroll and Rockingham counties in New Hampshire.
Paws for a Purpose will take place this Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, at Homemakers Health Services (215 Rochester Hill Rd, Rochester, NH). In addition to the fundraiser walk, the day will be filled with family fun events for both dogs and kids, including face painting, kiddie coral, and dog bathing station. For the adults there will be bingo and a silent auction with many great prizes, including a drone. Chad Alden of Sentinel Canine Academy will also be doing a protection and obedience demonstration. Pet friendly vendors will also be there, including our friends from Purely Oh Dog Bakery!
All proceeds from Paws for a Purpose will go directly to The Homemakers home support programs. The Homemakers Health Services relies on many different fundraising events throughout the year to help to offset the costs associated with providing services to those in need, whether it is visiting nurses, rehabilitative therapies, companionship, or even day care services. Registration for the walk is $25, and can be done in advance or at the event.
