Paws Walk 2024 for NHSPCA

Grab your leashes and lace up your sneakers, it is time for the annual Paws Walk to support the New Hampshire SPCA! Taking place this Sunday, June 2, 2024, Paws Walk will once again be at Stratham Hill Park, or virtually a the location of your choosing. Come walk and save lives, while also enjoying this outdoor festival. As in previous years there will be a vendor village selling a variety of pet related products, demonstrations by local dog groups, activities for pets and children, and of course animals available for adoption. The event begins at 10:00 AM, with the walk stepping off at 12 noon, and the festivities continue to 2:00 PM.

You can Register to walk in-person ($35 Adult / $25 Youth), or as a Virtual Walker ($20). The money raised at Paws Walk is vital for the New Hampshire Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to continue to provide the critical care and other lifesaving resources for the homeless and neglected animals in their care. Don’t have time to take a 1 mile walk, but want to help? Donations are always welcome! Your support can give medical care, shelter, food and a second chance at life for animals in-need!

Speaking of prizes, enter to win one of the six amazing Paws Walk Raffle items and help give a second chance to pets in-need. Prizes include a stand up paddle board, Red Sox tickets, concert tickets to Brit Floyd at the Hampton Casino or Train at the NH Pavilion, and a gift certificate to 3 popular fitness places in Portsmouth! Tickets range from $10 for 1, to $75 for 100 raffle tickets! You can win big and help homeless animals with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the animals in their care.

Proceeds from Paws Walk benefit the important mission of NHSPCA, who cares for thousands of animals each year and never puts a time limit on animals finding a home. The New Hampshire SPCA serves people and pets from across the state of New Hampshire through its programs, which include pet adoption, pet behavior training, humane education, animal cruelty intervention, low cost spay/neuter clinics and much more. They also offer an Alzheimer’s Cafe for people living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other memory issues and their caregivers gather, to socialize and enjoy conversation, while interacting with animals. On a personal note, for over 20 years our family has been participating in the NHSPCA Paws Walk. Mom and Dad began attending before they even had dogs back in 2003 when it was known as the Seaside Stroll held in Rye, NH, and were proud to bring Lemmy to his first Paws Walk in 2007, followed by myself in 2012 and and Asa in 2015. We’ve participated on sunny days and rainy, on hot days and freezing cold, virtually and in-person, reunited with family, walked virtually with friends from social media, and we have wonderful memories from each and every year, all while lending a helping paw for a good cause! This year, because Asa’s eye prevents us from being in crowds, we will continue that tradition by walking virtually. Please join us in supporting this cause near and dear to our hearts – Register Today!

Walk for the animals and stay for the fun! Register for this Sunday’s 32nd annual NHSPCA’s Paws Walk!
