Pet First Aid to Support Veterans and Service Dogs

Want to learn life saving skills for your pets and support our service men and women this Veterans Day week? Then register to take the Pet First Aid and Disaster Response course at Clear Path for Veterans of New England in Devens, MA. In A Heartbeat is partnering with Clear Path for Veterans of New England to offer this special class.

The Pet First Aid and Disaster Response course is ideal for all pet owners and pet caregivers. This course covers common health and safety related issues, first aid basics, pet CPR, when to seek professional care, and disaster planning steps for the proper care of pets in an emergency. This class will teach lifesaving techniques on how to care for service animals and family pets. By taking this class, you’re giving back to veterans, while you’re both learning to care for service animals and pets as well!

The class will be taking place this Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Clear Path of New England (84 Antietam Street, Devens, MA). The course is $50. Clear Path for Veterans of New England is a 501(c)3 established in 2017 with one mission, to build a safe, supportive and respectful place for veterans to seek the help and resources they need in order to successfully integrate into their communities. In A Heartbeat offers training to all rescuers, including, but not limited to: healthcare professionals, EMTs, industrial companies, daycare centers, schools, scouting groups and babysitters.
