Pet Photos with Santa 2018

Santa loves helping animals in need.  In the upcoming weeks Santa will be making the rounds in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts to pose for holiday pet photos with dogs and cats, all while helping local animal rescues, shelters and pet related nonprofits!  For more information, please click on the highlighted name of the organization who will be receiving the proceeds from this great holiday tradition.

Lucky Pup Rescue: Santa Claus will be taking photos with pups at the Santa Paws Fest this Saturday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Vinegar Hill Music Theater (53 Old Post Road, Arundel, ME), as part of Lucky Pup Rescue’s 3rd Annual Adopt-a-Tree Festival.  This event includes trees and wreaths beautifully decorated by local businesses and supporters, being raffled off to support Lucky Pup Rescue.  New this year, Santa Paws Fest will also include activities for the whole family, including pet photos with Santa, children’s activities, live music, and special gifts for sale.  Can’t make it on Saturday?  The festival continues on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Lowell Humane Society: Holiday Bazaar and Pet Photos with Santa will be taking place from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on December 1st and 2nd at the Lowell Humane Society (951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA).  Get a digital copy of your pet’s photo with Santa for $15.  A link to your images will be emailed within 72 hours.  Is your pet reactive around other animals or nervous with people?  You can email LHS to make arrangements for your pet photo to be scheduled at a time for you to enter through a different entrance to avoid the hustle and bustle.  There will also be holiday gifts for the pet lovers and pets on your shopping list.

Old Dogs New Digs: Santa Claus would love to meet your pup at Planet Dog (211 Marginal Way, Portland, ME) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Pictures are $10 each with 100% of the proceeds going directly to senior dogs in need of vet care.

Animal Rescue League of NH: Jane Button Photography will be taking pictures of your dog with Santa at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire (545 Route 101, Bedford, NH) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  The sitting fee is $25 and you will receive a link to your digital photos. All proceeds benefit ARLNH!  Space is limited and photos are by appointment only. Northeast Animal Shelter: Santa will be posing with pets at the Northeast Animal Shelter (347 highland Ave, Salem, MA) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  For a $10 donation you will receive a 1 4×6 photo and a digital copy.  Can’t make it on Saturday, Santa will also be taking photos on Sunday, December 2, at the Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital to benefit Northeast Animal Shelter.

Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue: Has your dog been naughty or nice?  Santa wants to know!  Bring your pup by to meet Santa at Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue (110 Chapin Road, Hudson, MA) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  For your donation of $20 you’ll get a photo with Santa and a picture link.  While there stop by their Golden Goodies store for unique Golden Retriever themed gifts.  Have a scared or reactive dog? No worries!  Call YGRR at 978-333-7081 to make an appointment with Santa when no other dog is around.

Animal Welfare Society: Jingle + Mingle at the Animal Welfare Society (46 Holland Rd., West Kennebunk, ME), from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Not only will Santa be there to take photos with pets, Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” will be there too to pose for photos!  In addition there will be special holiday gift sets and crafts for sale specifically for dogs and cats, not to mention the humans on your list too!  Please bring your own camera or smart phone to snap the perfect photo with Santa and friends!

Lucky Pup Rescue: The 10th Annual Pet Photos with Santa to benefit Lucky Pup Rescue will once again be taking place at Super Dogs & Cats (380 Elm St., Biddeford, ME).  Santa will be there from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Portraits will be taken and printed on site for a $10 donation.  To ensure your slot with Santa, please visit Pictures with Santa.  Walk-ins are also welcome if you don’t mind waiting.

Humane Society for Greater Nashua: Bring your dog to the Animal Hospital of Nashua (168 Main Dunstable Rd., Nashua, NH) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a photo with Santa.  For a $10.00 donation to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua you will receive a 4×6 photo.  Larger photo sizes/packages are available for purchase and jpg images can be emailed to you for an additional donation. No appointments are necessary.  Please do not wear green as Santa will be using a green screen background, and you’ll have a choice of a several holiday backgrounds.

Phinney’s Friends: Santa will be posing with pets at Pet Source (1173 Main Street, Concord, MA) from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM to benefit Phinney’s Friends, a small Massachusetts nonprofit based in Lincoln, MA, that helps low-income people keep their pets by providing financial assistance and pet care.  Pictures with Santa are $20 ($10 per additional pet), and you’ll get your best portrait via email. For additional $5, you can enter the contest to win a dog gift basket worth $150 in pet treats, toys and other supplies. The cutest, best-dressed pet will also win a prize.

NHSPCA: Take Five Dog Care (122 Mast Road, Lee, NH) will be hosting their 2nd Annual Holiday Photos with Santa from 12 Noon to 3:00 PM.  Bring a donation for the NHSPCA, and in exchange you will receive a photo of your pet with Santa.  Please note: The NHSPCA does not currently need dry dog food, so be sure to check out their list of items needed, and cash donations are always appreciated.  Due to the amazing turnout last year there is an online sign-up sheet, in 10 minute increments, to reserve a time. Drop-ins will also be welcome, but not guaranteed how long the wait will be.

MSPCA: Santa will be posing with pets at Assembly Row (660 Artisan Way, Somerville, MA) from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Choose from a digital photo for $10 or a digital photo and a 4×6 print for $20, with proceeds to benefit the animals at MSPCA’s Nevins Farm.

Phinney’s Friends: Santa will be at Pemberton Farms (2225 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Bring your own camera or smartphone to snap a photo of your dog with Santa, and while there please donate to Phinney’s Friends, a small Massachusetts nonprofit based in Lincoln, MA, that helps low-income people keep their pets by providing financial assistance and pet care.

Santa loves helping animals in need.  So lend a helping paw by getting your photo with Santa at one of these great events to benefit local animal related nonprofits.
