Princess Mom’s Crown and Other News

Hi Angel Chuck Billy! Can you believe as of today it has been 5 months that we’ve been apart? Does it feel like 5 months to you? It feels like an eternity here without you. But you’ll be pleased to know I somewhat have a schedule now for Mom and Dad. I figured out my own way of reminding them I need to go out or want to play. I squeeze myself between them and their desk. It’s not as dramatic as how you use to stomp your paws and growl, but it does get their attention. Ok, I admit that I still need them to remind me it is time for dinner, but they haven’t forgot to feed me yet.

I hope you like the Christmas tree I planted in your memory. One request though. Although I appreciate your help watering it, enough with all the rain, especially on the weekends! I promise I’ll try to remember to water it. So you can turn the hose off, or at least on the weekends not water your tree. Thanks!

Speaking of rain, as you probably also noticed this summer’s leg of Asa’s World Tour of Maine has been on a rain delay. But the sun did come out yesterday, and Llily Llama took us on a team building trip! I’ll share that soon. Also I haven’t forgotten to share that one stop from the end of last year. I plan to use that to launch this year’s tour. Do you by any chance remember where you packed our buffalo plaid bandanas? No worries, I’m sure they will turn up before I head out again.

You’ll be pleased to know that for Mother’s Day Dad is giving Mom a crown! Finally he is treating her like the Princess that she is! Although I’m not sure why Mom has to go to the dentist’s office to pick up her crown later on this week? I overheard her saying something about her tooth too. Not sure how they are connected? But a crown sure sounds like a much better gift than previous Mother’s Days when Dad gave her a lawn mower or a vacuum.

Speaking of Dad, he’s helping our neighbor with his honey bees this summer! It’s the neighbor with the big garden. He’s trying beekeeping for the first time. So Dad is giving him tips and pointers. It’s good to see Dad smiling again. After saying goodbye to you, he just didn’t have the heart for beekeeping without you this summer. But I think this will get him interested in it again. So maybe next summer your Chuck BEEly hive will be buzzing with activity once more.

I guess that is all the news for now. Oh! I almost forgot! This coming weekend is the New England Golden Jubilee. I know in my heart that you and Angel Chompski, along with so many other friends at the Bridge, will be running through the fields and swimming in the pond together, enjoying every minute of that special event. I can’t go because of my eye, but we hope to make a special trip on a quiet day this summer to add your name to the sacred walls of Dog Chapel.

Love you Chuck Billy! Miss you! See you at the end of the trail….

I imagine this is how Mom’s Mother Day gift of a crown will look. But I’ll keep you posted.
