Are you interested in learning more about a holistic approach to your dog’s health and wellbeing? The Animal Welfare Society will be hosting an evening of Reiki and Essentials Oils with Nikoe Natural Therapies. Learn about essential oils and their many uses for the health and wellness of your pup, as well as how Reiki can aid the physical, emotional and behavioral concerns of your dog. There will be canine volunteers from the shelter there to demonstrate the use of Reiki, and they will happily show you which oils make their tails wag.
Michele Lowry, of Nikoe Natural Therapies, has been using her Reiki and animal communication skills to help the pets at the Animal Welfare Society for almost a decade now. Once a week through the PHUR program, Michele volunteers her time identifying the emotional or physical concerns that require healing, and bringing about positive emotional changes on the animal’s search to find a forever home. Through Reiki, Michele has found dogs who are depressed, confused or sometimes even happy to be out of a previous environment. She has also worked with dogs who have aggressive issues and has been able to communicate with them to find out why and how they may be helped, whether they are in pain, or need to spend time in quieter areas of the shelter, or with the staff. Michele has also worked with dogs who had illnesses, and aided the AWS staff in determining a medical evaluation and veterinary care for them. She will be sharing these stories and more at the Reiki and Essential Oils event.
Reiki and Essential Oils: A Holistic Approach will be taking place on Wednesday, March, 28, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Animal Welfare Society (46 Holland Road, West Kennebunk, ME). The class is $20 per person with proceeds to benefit the important mission of the Animal Welfare Society. Please make checks payable to Michele Lowry.
